How much does a 3D architectural walkthrough cost?
Price is driven by runtime, the number of spaces or buildings shown, how heavily each is furnished or equipped, and how much exterior context is required. A single interior walkthrough sits at the low end; a township masterplan with phasing sequences sits at the high end. Send the drawings and you receive a fixed quotation with a delivery date, usually the same working day. We do not bill hourly and we do not revise the price mid-project.
How long does a 3D walkthrough take?
Interior-only projects run 5 to 7 business days. Houses run 10 to 15. High-rise and multifamily run 12 to 20. Industrial and temple projects run 15 to 25 because machinery and carving must be modelled accurately. Township masterplans run 20 to 35. Still images take 2 to 3 days in every category.
What files do you need to start?
A floor plan is enough to begin and to quote from. Elevations, sections, a material schedule, site orientation and reference imagery produce a far more accurate first draft. We work from AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, PDF and clear scans of hand drawings.
Can you work from hand drawings or a PDF?
Yes. A significant share of our work arrives as PDFs, scans or hand-drawn sheets rather than CAD. Temple projects in particular often arrive as traditional drawings prepared by a sthapati. Clear photographs are usually enough.
What is a grey-scale camera test?
An untextured, unlit animation showing exactly where the camera goes and how long it holds, delivered before any production frame is rendered. Approving it is the last free moment to change anything — after materials and lighting are applied, a camera change means re-rendering. It is the most consequential approval in the process.
How many revisions are included?
Unlimited revisions are included as standard, covering material swaps, furniture and equipment changes, camera timing adjustments and colour grading. Anything beyond that is agreed before it is started, so there are no surprise invoices.
Who owns the final animation and renders?
You do. Full commercial rights transfer on final payment, with no ongoing licence fee or usage restriction — including advertising, print, signage, planning submittals, investor material, listings and social media.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before any drawing or design file is transferred. Confidential pre-launch residential schemes and commercially sensitive plant layouts are routine work.
Can the walkthrough be used for planning or council submissions?
Yes, and accuracy matters more than gloss in that setting. We render honest massing, real buffer widths, planting at realistic installed size and correct sun angles for the site latitude, because planning staff and objectors compare renders against the submitted drawings.
What else can you produce from the same 3D model?
Still renders at print resolution, 360 degree virtual tours, 2D and 3D floor plans, aerial and context views, vertical 9:16 cutdowns for social, material and finish variants, day and night versions, and phasing sequences. Building the model is the expensive part — once it exists, each additional deliverable costs a fraction of the first.
